Curriculum

Zearn is directly connected to the Eureka/EngageNY math curriculum and each module and lesson aligns with Zearn lesson. Paper worksheets or notes directly linked to the Zearn modules can also be used in the classroom along with the Eureka/EngageNY texts. Not every Eureka/EngageNY has a corresponding digital Zearn lesson, so educators should be wary when integrating this program into the classroom.

Student Experience

Each lesson on Zearn features four activities: one math facts activity, a review of past concepts, an interactive lesson on new content, and a check point called the Tower of Power which students must pass before moving on to the next lesson.

Teacher Experience

Educators can assign students to any module, and allows for mid-module assignments, though it must be at the start of a topic. On the roster tab, educators can see and compare student progress. Zearn also offers various reports, such as Tower Alerts which notify educators when specific students are struggling to pass a lesson.
