VSCO (vis-ko) is a creative photo-editing app it is like Instagram where you are able to create a profile for yourself. However, the pictures then can also be uploaded to Instagram. VSCO is available to those who have an iPhone or an Android smartphone. VSCO allows individuals to edit their pictures and videos through a collection of filters. It is used for people to express themselves and allows individuals to become creative in their photo editing ability.

History

The app was founded in 2011, and created by Joel Flory, Greg Lutze, and co-founded by Kevin Systrom. Vsco was formally known as vscocam, as the pictures were edited through vsco, but then they were posted to Instagram. Vsco soon released an app in 2012 this was when it was officially launched. With this drop, Vsco had over 150 million downloads through iPhones and Androids. After the app had amounted to its success of 150 million. downloads, it soon ran a subscription model in 2017 where people would pay 19.99 a year with that being the case VSCO's revenue basically doubled to 20.8 million. Today VSCO's revenue is approaching 80 million and is expected to increase.
