Description: I had never heard of Photopeach.com until we had to sign up for a presentation tool. As with any presentation tool, it has positives and negatives. Some of the positives of this tool are as follows: it offers a free membership, it is very user-friendly, it allows you upload or choose available music, and you can have as many items as you’d like in the slideshow. Those are all very important pros for me as a user, so I was mostly pleased with the use of this application. However, there were a few negatives to this program that make me hesitant to use it again. The first negative that I noticed was that there was no save function; I wanted to add another picture after my initial upload, but then all of my previous images were gone. I was unable to save until I had uploaded, arranged, and picked out music (if I decided to use that feature) at which point I was able to go back in and make edits. Unfortunately, that was a big hit for this program. Another con was that I could not download my slideshow as a file unless I was a premium member which meant paying some type of fee whether that would be monthly or annually. There is an option to put music from YouTube on your slideshow, but then when it came time to finish the project, it stated that the YouTube music could not be put on there which made me wonder why it was even an option. The last prohibitive feature was that you could not control how your pictures were displayed; the slideshow seemed to have an automatic setting where it would zoom and transition the pictures and the user could only control the speed. (Note: I did not spend too much time looking into that to see if there was a way to change that; however, my assumption was that due to the user-friendliness at the beginning, that it would be pretty obvious if those changes were available.) Overall, I’d recommend this program only if you wanted to show someone some vacation pictures and you didn’t mind portions of your pictures being cut out. I am positive that there are better options available for a slideshow presentation.
