ClassDojo is a communication app intended for classrooms. It connects teachers, students, and parents and allows them to share photos, messages, videos. This is a tool to assist in monitoring behavior and tracking academic progress.

Classdojo allows teachers to utilize whats called the toolbox within the app. It helps teachers to create groups for small group presentations and projects within the learning environment. It gives the teachers the opportunity to give positive points for doing the right thing and taking points away for doing the wrong thing. Scholars have buy-in because it is attached to incentives that they are able to receive based on the number of dojo points they have accumulated over a designated time.

The toolbox kit in the app has a directions template that allows teachers to create directions to a certain activity and project it over the board for all scholars to see instead of giving verbal directions. It allows for music to play for quiet studying or for engagement activities as well as a timer. It helps to achieve positive behaviors and classroom management because you can have the scholars see where they are at and how they are gaining and losing points.

The teachers are also able to give the scholars certificates and awards for reaching a certain level of positive dojo points.
