Overview

Amazon Kindle is a free app that is available on a computer, tablet, or mobile phone (only for IOS devices). It is an app for everyone because you do not need a kindle to use the app. It is an app that allows access to an unlimited number of e-books, newspapers, magazines, and other digital media. It allows someone to carry around millions of books in their pocket. It also allows someone to borrow digital media from their local library online and constantly have access to it on their phone. Plus, the book will automatically return itself so that there is no worry of a late fee. The app also allows readers to highlight portions of a text, define words, bookmark sections, change the font size, change the alignment, change the margins, change the background color, see exactly where you are in the book, and more, so that the reader gets the most out of a text as possible. Amazon Kindle also has Goodreads built into it so that someone can discuss and share books with a variety of readers. Also, Amazon Kindle can read to you either through audible audiobooks or through an Alexa. Someone can also read along as it is read out loud so as to improve reading comprehension. For kids, Amazon Kindle can enable Word Wise to help kids understand challenging books by having it show them definitions, synonyms, etc. The app is also available in multiple languages.
