Overview
Spotify is an app for streaming music and podcasts. With an account a user can create playlists that can be kept private or be shared publicly. There is an option to allow for collaboration, so other users can add to and share playlists. The app itself is free, but there is a monthly cost of $9.99 + tax per month or $4.99 per month for students to access the premium features, which includes ad-free listening and more freedom in choosing which specific song to play. [1] The app can be used on any device such as a laptop, phone, or tablet. Playlists can also be saved through the app to the device for offline listening.
