Overview
Prodigy is a free math learning platform that allows students to interactively develop and build on math skills inside a gaming system where children succeed by correctly answering math-related questions. Founded in 2011 by Alex Peters and Rohan Mahimker, Prodigy uses game-based learning to improve cognitive learning abilities and motivate students to learn. Prodigy can be used as an RTI (Response to Intervention/Instruction) tool or to prepare for standardized tests. Students can play either at home or at school. The classroom is a great place for students to get introduced to Prodigy. Students can create an account and use the teacher's code to access games. Teachers must first create their own account and classroom folder online to get to class code that students can use to enter the program.
