Overview

[Prezi] is a web-based presentation software and mobile application, that allows users to create wonderful eye-popping presentations for use in business, education, or anytime you need to make a presentation.

In Prezi, you can start by using a current template model already built or start with a blank template. Now you can create your template colors (or themes). As you begin to create your presentation, using images, zooming and other effects, you begin to tell your story.

Prezi is a great way to tell a story. Becoming a good story teller will make you a great presenter, or simply just a person people want to listen to speak and engage with you. Prezi allows the presenter to develop a presentation full of methods used for a good story to be told. For example, graphics, colors, images, and different formats allow the presenter to use the tool but not allow the tool to be the presenter. Body language is an important aspect to be mindful of when giving presentations, and Prezi allows you to pan in and focus on certain subjects as you would gesture with your arms or raise your eyebrows to acknowledge an important point.

The interactive aspects of Prezi would work very well in a classroom, by not only keeping the students attention, but per an important concept that Professor Josh notes consistently, letting us as teachers disseminate the information to students and allow them to take the information and evaluate it, discern it and use it to learn about the topic. It is not like reading a text book, but Prezi is a tool, like any other presentation tool, that gives us as educators the ability to break down a subject in relatable and intelligible concepts.
