Overview

Pinterest is an app and webpage that allows users to collect and share images, ideas, inspiration, recipes, and much more into organized boards. Quick visual thumbnails are used that often lead to links with further information. "Pinterest is an online bulletin board for your favorite images, launched in 2010" [1]

Teachthought has an article titled, "37 Ways Teachers Can Use Pinterest In The Classroom". This is a great resource to use when you are looking for subjects to research on Pinterest. The first category they cover is, "Inspiration." A few of the subcategories are decorating your classroom, collecting your thoughts and ideas for an inspired bulletin board. The second category they cover is, "Lessons", the third is "Professional" and the fourth is, "Fun." This is just one of the many different uses for Pinterest.

There is a group on Pinterest called, Teachers on Pinterest. They have provided boards from Preschool all the way to high school and even home-school! They have pinned things for project ideas, organizational ideas, classroom decor and so much more! You can scroll through their page to find that board that is most relevant to you and open it. Once in you may then scroll through their pins to find your inspirations!
