Lucidchart is the perfect add-on app for Google Docs to present images for visual communication. Both free and paid subscriptions available.
This mind-mapping software allow you to create:

  • Venn Diagrams
  • Concept Maps
  • Floor Plans

With the ability to collaborate and communicate, students can link and chat as they create. Lucidchart integrates with G Suite and Drive and can easily be embedded into a wiki as well.
